Our foundation continues to be the bedrock of hospital progress, funding vital projects and quality, top-tier care for our entire community.
We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of Operation Restoring Comfort! This initiative saw that every bed in our facility was replaced. This upgrade not only enhances patient comfort and care but speeds up recovery and we could not do it without the support of our community. We send a heartfelt thank you to all who donated to this campaign.
The future of behavioral health is taking shape. Construction is officially ready to begin. We remain on track to open this much-needed facility by the end of 2026.
This ambitious project is a testament to the power of partnership. We extend immense gratitude to our community partners. The State of North Dakota and Representative David Richter, Williams County, Otto Bremmer Trust and Wayne and Cindy Sorenson. They saw a crucial need in our community and did not hesitate to partner with us to insure the projects success.
In other exciting news, our Emergency Department Capital Campaign is now officially underway!
We are incredibly excited about this upcoming expansion, which will provide a state-of-the-art environment for critical care. It will not only include private treatment areas, bariatric spaces and designated imaging but also behavioral health hold rooms. Construction for the Emergency Department is planned to go hand-in-hand with our BHU project.
This is a monumental undertaking, and we still have significant fundraising to do. If you are passionate about enhancing our emergency services and would like to join our fundraising committee, please reach out to us - we’d love to have you!
If you would like more information on how you can support this project please contact Chelsea Norsten or myself at (701) 774-7447 for more information. We would be delighted to give you a tour of the new space and share our vision with you.
2025 was an amazing year for the CHI St. Alexius Health Williston Foundation (Mercy Medical Foundation) and CHI St. Alexius Health Williston. We successfully raised $3.7 million dollars and transferred almost $1 million into the hospital for facility and equipment improvements and patient programs. This year we are set to transfer over $7 million dollars (not including the Emergency Department expansion). Every dollar donated to the foundation stays directly within the foundation. The hospital proudly covers all administrative costs, ensuring your contributions go straight to patient care and facility enhancements. We are committed to providing care for everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. Last year alone, we provided over $21 million in charity care and bad debt, underscoring how vital every dollar is to our foundation in funding facility upgrades.
We are also incredibly proud to announce that our dedicated hospital employees donated $50,000 from their paychecks through our employee giving program, The Hour Club this year. This truly goes to show the commitment our staff has to both our facility and our community!
CHI St. Alexius Health Williston continues to grow and enhance its services, ensuring you have access to expert care, close to home. In 2025 we onboarded 11 new providers, expanding our primary care team. We are making access to care easier with same day appointments now available in both our primary and specialty clinics. We have a new orthopedic surgeon starting in March as well as a cardiologist.
We are deeply grateful for your continued trust and support as we work to advance healthcare for everyone in our region. Thank you for being an integral part of our journey!
